Walk through Paris

Today was an outdoor day because the weather was so wonderful. We started the day buying a sandwich at a nearby bakery and heading out to see the gardens of the Louvre. The building itself is huge and they say that if you were to stop in front of every item for 3 seconds it would take you 3 months, 24 hours a day to see it all. So we just walked around the building. We walked around the grounds and through the gardens and stopped for lunch beside a beautiful pool with a view of the Champ D'Elysee.

We walked the length of that very expensive street and had coffee. The next stop was the Arc de Triumph, magnificant! Everything is in a proportion that is far larger than than we are used to. The sense of history and time is overwhelming. How can such a little country have so much history. We ended our long walk at the Eiffel Tower and went right up to the top. It was a bit windy today and nearly a hurricane up at the top. I have hair designed by Eiffel! We finished off at a wonderful bistro with incredible food. Lord it is a good thing I did all that walking today......

Travel Tip:
Eiffel Tower we went in the afternoon & the line was not too long.
