Thank you everyone

First we just want to say thank for the comments you leave us. We love to get up in the morning and read your messages while we have our expresso or tea depending on the Granny. It really makes us feel connected and nice to know that you are interested.

In the pics above: Chris is buying a book at the famous stalls on the Seine, The next one if you look close this is how they move their furniture into their apartments & the last is the fountain in front of the outdoor market at Place Monge.

Today was another beautiful day in paradise. We started off to visit two small museums today. One was featuing a show of Van Dyck's work and the other Monet. They were both in the 19th century mansions of the original collectors and left to the State. They were splendid and we really enjoyed the furnishings and art. The Museum Marmottan and the Monet collection was a wonderful finish after visiting Monet's garden yesterday. The other museum was the Jacquemart Andre. I love the programs and always try to buy one but Lyn is in gales of laughter because I always end up with a french version. She says I have to check with her next time because she has new glasses.

As I sit here typing the search light from the Eiffel Towers flashes across the sky. It is all so romantic and surreal for both of us.

A few observations about life around us. The French are very economical. Even with paint on the roads. There are no lanes anywhere and a street can very quickly morph from two lanes one way to 3 1/2 with no trouble. The skill and nerve of the drivers is amazing. The bike and motorcycle drivers are even more skilled and manouver in the most terrifiying way. We have yet to see an accident. We've added some pics of the people we have met on our wanderings.

Travel Tip:
Musee Jacquemart Andre
Musee Marmottan

Guess it's a good thing that you haven't rented a car to get around in, you'd perhaps end up with heart failure! Quite remarkable that you aren't seeing lots of accidents.

Am enjoying my vacation with you!

Melinda
